Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver balloon gifts?
We would absolutely love to surprise your loved one with a balloon delivery! Our balloon gifts are priced for pickup near 45th St N and Oliver, but we can deliver to office buildings, homes, restaurants, etc. Or if your car can't fit the extraordinary size of our gifts / grab & go decor, we're happy to bring the fun to you!
At checkout, you will be given the choice to pickup at our NE Wichita location or have us deliver to your provided address. Rates are as follows:
NE Quadrant of Wichita (North of Kellogg, South of 254, East of I-135, and West of 159th St.) : $30 Everything else (NW Wichita, Maize, Andover, SW Wichita): $55
If you choose delivery, be sure you've told us the name of the lucky recipient of your gift at checkout in the "Add note" box in your cart. If there's anything fun or silly you want us to tell the lucky guy or girl, we love to fulfill special requests -- just don't ask us to sing!
What’s your delivery area?
All of our balloon gifts and grab & go decor options are available for delivery. At checkout, you will be given the choice to pickup at our NE Wichita location or have us deliver to your provided address. Rates are as follows:
NE Quadrant of Wichita (North of Kellogg, South of 254, East of I-135, and West of 159th St.) : $30
Everything else (NW Wichita, Maize, Andover, SW Wichita): $55
All of our decor booking services include delivery and installation in the Northeast quadrant of Wichita, KS plus Bel Aire. We do offer services and delivery outside of that area for an extra charge. Send us a message for a decor delivery quote! (note: decor delivery may differ from gift delivery rates depending on size of decor)
If you live outside of the delivery area, don't fret! Send us an email for a special delivery quote for your address.
What should I expect on installation day? Do you inflate balloons on site?
Our inflation plan depends heavily on our schedule each day. Most times, we will arrive with some or all balloons already inflated and simply install. However, please plan to have an allotted space for us during setup with access to a power outlet for inflation. We have allotted a full inflate & install time for all of our decor on each booking page. If you have a specific setup window, be sure to share those details at the time of booking.
How do I book decor?
We have compiled a list of some of the most popular decor services on our “Book Decor” page. We believe in capturing moments of excitement, so the easier we can make it to get the ball rolling, the happier we are! We also have some great Grab & Go Decor options for smaller celebrations and impressive large-scale decor options. To book custom installations, simply fill out our “Request a Quote” form and we’ll be in touch to discuss your vision and budget.
How long will my balloons last?
Longevity is highly variable depending on what type of balloons you order and where they will be located. Most balloon gifts will last at least a week, and most indoor decor will be the same. However, outdoor decor has a much shorter shelf life, and you should only expect 24 hours of pure beauty in Kansas heat.
Do you have helium balloons?
No, all of our creations are air-filled. That means they will not float. But if you’re looking for floating balloons, we’ve got lots of fun solutions to create a floating illusion!
Do you have event rentals?
We sure do! We have everything from neon “Happy Birthday” signs to greenery walls and sequin backdrops. All of those rentals are at your disposal through our custom installation services, accessible by filling out our “Request a Quote” form. If we don't have what you need, we have great relationships with local rental companies, and we'd love to connect you!
What are your decor booking policies?
When booking any of the standard decor options listed on the Book Decor page, we ask all clients to agree to the following decor booking service policies:
• Some decor utilizes framing equipment. All framing equipment must be returned to Happy Times ICT within two business days of event. Happy Times will provide return details at time of decor installation.
• Decor services listed on website are only meant for indoor decor (with the exception of Door Decor). Baseplates may not be strong enough for Kansas winds.
• Teardown is not included in decor booking services price. Happy Times will provide teardown best practices at time of decor installation.
Note: these policies are separate from custom installations, and all framing and teardown policies will be unique to each customer.
Do you offer teardown services?
Absolutely! We didn’t include teardown in our standard services listed in our “Book Decor” page, but we can certainly tear down your decor for an additional charge. Teardown fees range from $100 to $250, depending on timing and our schedule.
What's your cancellation policy?
When you purchase your gift or book your decor, we immediately begin preparing and purchasing stock to blow your socks off. Therefore, we do not offer refunds or cancellations. However, we totally understand that "life happens" so contact us if plans change. Maybe we can "regift" your purchase to another recipient or design decor for a different celebration!
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we are a fully licensed and insured balloon decor business. We do also require all clients agree to a general release of liability agreement before booking decor services.
What's your Balloon Safety & Liability policy?
At the time of checkout, whether it be for gifts or decor, we ask all clients to agree to the following policies:
• Children younger than 8 years old should always be supervised around balloons. If a balloon breaks, collect the pieces immediately and dispose of them out of the reach of children.
• Balloons perform best inside, and you understand that when setup outside - especially in direct sunlight - some popping may occur.
• Release of Liability: Client acknowledges and agrees that Happy Times ICT shall not be held liable for any injuries or damages arising out of or related to decoration services, except in cases of gross negligence.
Why do you warn about balloons for young children?
Balloons are magical and irresistible for kids, and they can be enjoyed by children of all ages when supervised appropriately. Latex balloons are not recommended for unsupervised children younger than 8 years old. If a balloon breaks, collect the pieces immediately and dispose of them out of the reach of children.
Why won’t balloon decor last as long outdoors?
Balloons and "the elements" aren't besties, so beware that balloons will pop in direct sunlight or extreme heat. We don't recommend outdoor balloon decor in Kansas summers. However, if you must... Darker colors absorb heat more, so opt for lighter colors when booking decor in the summer. Decor installations perform best in shaded areas without direct sunlight and protection from wind and rain.
Latex balloons go through a process called “oxidation,” where balloons lose their shine and become dull or matte due to exposure to oxygen, UV light, and other environmental factors. This can happen relatively quickly, especially in warm, sunny conditions. For an extra charge, we can use professional treatments to slow down the oxidation process and extend the shine of your latex balloons.
I bought a balloon kit on Amazon. Will you inflate and install it for me?
In short, nope. We source the highest quality professional balloons from around the world. So, no, we won’t inflate the balloons you bought on Amazon.
How much will a custom installation cost?
We've worked hard to create balloon options for every budget. Whether it's grab & go decor, our standard booking services, or a custom install unique to you, there's something for everyone!
When it comes to custom installs, the "how much will it cost" question depends on what you’re looking for. For example, special backdrops, teardown, and fun add-ons like flowers or neon signs all have corresponding charges. Though we are happy to do something custom for $300, we would recommend that custom requests have a minimum $1,000 budget. Please be aware that we will not provide mock ups without a deposit.
$1,000 for balloons? You’re crazy!
First of all, that's not a question. Secondly, yes, we are crazy, but not for charging a fair price for our time and expertise! We source the highest quality professional balloons from around the world, we’ve attended and/or taught hundreds of balloon courses around the world, and we have a combined 54 years of experience with balloons. We’re worth it, trust us!
